Report: No evidence yet linking Patriots' football staff to filming incident
The NFL, to this point, has found no evidence linking New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick or his football staff to footage of the Cincinnati Bengals' sideline shot by a camera crew ahead of their game in December, reports Mark Maske of The Washington Post.
Barring the discovery of new information, the Patriots are expected to be penalized in the form of a hefty fine and possibly the loss or reduction in value of a draft pick, Maske adds.
The league's investigation could reportedly wrap up as soon as this week.
The Patriots have admitted a three-person camera crew working on a video feature about a New England scout "inappropriately" filmed Cincinnati's sideline from the press box during the Cleveland Browns' home game against the Bengals game in Week 14. New England played Cincinnati the following week.
Belichick has vehemently denied having any involvement in the filming.
