please help with ideas for creating cluster active/passive in vmware

Hi,
For my lab I need to install an application in HA (active/passive) in CentOS.
I understand that I can install pacemaker in two nodes in my vmware workstation but how could I do to have storage (where is the application) in one node and change to other node if there is a failover?
I'm newbie and I need your experience, sorry if I've said some stupid think.
