Thinking about switching from Lite to Mint xfce
by hat_man from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4XE1C)
Hello again all.
I recently installed Linux Lite on the older machine and while I do like it I am thinking about switching to Mint xfce. The download from Win7 couldn't have been simpler from the Lite LiveCD. Hit the download button and told it to use the whole disc. Win7 was gone and Lite was the only OS. Exactly what I wanted. Simple. I'll keep the LiveCD for Lite and probably burn quite a few distros over the next few years, but I am anxious to try Mint xfce. Does it have the same option to download from the Live CD like Lite does? Hit one button and it automatically erases the old OS and installs the new OS in it's place? I really have no need to run two different distros on this machine.
Thanks for putting up with a new guy and probably a very simple question.
