4K Video Downloader for youtube
by paxolin from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4XECQ)
I have been successfully using this program for more than a year.
Occasionally when using it I see a message telling me there's an update notice. When I opt to update there's always a message afterwards saying "Same version is already installed"
I just don't understand why it triggers an update message, then says I have that version already?
However, I've just done the update now, and 4K won't run when I open it via the menu.
I went to the 4K site to try and remove it, then install it again. That told me:
Enter in command line 'sudo apt-get remove nameofapplication', for example 'sudo apt-get remove 4kvideodownloader'
I pasted 'sudo apt-get remove 4kvideodownloader' It appeared to be successful. Then I d/l 4K again via the website.
It reappeared on the menu, but still won't run when I click it.
