Wentz removed vs. Seahawks after suffering head injury
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was removed from Sunday's wild-card game against the Seattle Seahawks in the second half after being evaluated for a head injury, the team announced. He did not return.
Wentz was initially taken to the locker room late in the first quarter, with veteran Josh McCown entering the game in his place.
The injury occurred on a scramble during which Wentz took a hit to the back of the head while going down before also hitting his head on the ground.

Wentz was the driving force for the Eagles down the stretch as they captured the NFC East title, leading the team to four straight victories despite a slew of injuries around him.
McCown, 40, made his first career playoff appearance. He finished the game 18 of 24 for 174 yards.
