Kings prospect Kupari out for season after tearing ACL at world juniors
Rasmus Kupari's 2019-20 campaign is over.
The Los Angeles Kings draft pick will undergo surgery later in January to repair a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the rest of the season, Kings general manager Rob Blake told team reporter Jon Rosen on Wednesday.
Kupari suffered the injury in Finland's opening game against Sweden at the recently concluded IIHF World Junior Championship in the Czech Republic. The 19-year-old forward missed the rest of the tournament as a result.

Kupari was in his first campaign with the Ontario Reign - the Kings' AHL affiliate - with whom he collected eight points in 27 games.
Los Angeles selected him 20th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft.
