Can't open Steam Game - Cattails
by TheJooomes from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4XMT3)
So basically I click play, an empty window pops up for a split second, then it closes like nothing ever happened. I made some good progress after tracking down a bunch of dependencies missing from the game folder. Lemme explain what I've done so far.
I've been running "run.sh" within the game folder and looking up the new errors after finding new dependencies, one after another.
Located 32bit versions of "libcrypto.so.1.0.0", "libssl.so.1.0.0", "
libXrandr.so.2", and "libXrandr.so.2.2.0" and put them in the appropriate locations within the game folder.
Installed "libglu1-mesa:i386" and "libxrender1:i386:" from the repos, again looking up errors.
I ran run.sh within the game folder with seemingly promising output for a few seconds, until it did the same thing it did when opening it from Steam, it opened a window for a split second and closed it like it never opened.
Here's that output, this is where I'm stumped: https://pastebin.com/VrK5gKnq
I'm feeling exhausted from tracking down all that stuff, it's been a few hours. My OS (im sure you can see from the output) is Ubuntu 19.10, more specifically Kubuntu.
