Report: Panthers expected to hire Baylor's Snow
The Carolina Panthers are expected to add Phil Snow to their coaching staff, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Snow served as Baylor's defensive coordinator for the last three seasons and could continue in the same role in Carolina, added Rapoport.
The 64-year-old Snow has worked with new Panthers head coach Matt Rhule for the last seven campaigns. They worked together for four years at Temple (2013-16) and three years at Baylor (2017-19).
Rhule, who was named Big 12 Coach of the Year last season, has yet to officially name his coordinators and assistants in Carolina. The 44-year-old reportedly signed a seven-year deal worth up to $70 million with the Panthers.
Carolina finished last year with the second-worst mark in the NFL in points allowed per contest (29.4).
