Unable to reset network for Vortexbox using fix_network rebuild

I have somehow changed the network settings for my vortexbox software and am unable to find it on my network. The vortexbox site recommends using "fix_network rebuild" command, but when I attempt this, I receive the message: Job for network.service failed. See'systemctl status network.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.

Searching for these brought me to LinuxQuestions.org. hopefully someone can help.
