error with sbopkg: Unknown repository name
by deretsigernu from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4XTJX)
Using sbopkg, it never remembered the packages I installed via the app. I looked around and this post had an answer. It basically said to get a commit from GitHub, which I have no idea how to use. Figured, I could try it on my own and if (when) I mess up, I can ask the fine people here for help. ;)
I downloaded the zip from GitHub repository. I made back-ups of /etc/sbopkg/sbopkg.conf and /usr/sbin/sbopkg. I chmod on the files to root:root and then I copied the new versions of those files from the downloaded zip to replace the old files. I logged out and back in (don't know how necessary that is, but figured it wouldn't hurt). Then figured it was ready:
Code:bash-5.0# sbopkg

SBo/master (SBo master git branch)I looked in the sbopkg file and sbopkg.conf to see if I could figure out what was causing the problem for me, but I don't know where to look or what to fix. Can someone tell me, please, how to get sbopkg back up and running?
I'm using slackware64-current.
