Problem With a Bad and a Good Network Card

A few years ago, I had a network card go bad, so I replaced it with a new network card, but the old/bad network card was still in/on the computer.

On occasion with some, but not all, live CDs/DVDs, the damn thing sees the old/bad network card, and ignores the new/good network card.

Of course, this upsets me.

But, I cannot disconnect the old/bad network card.

What do I do?
How do I tell some of these live CDs/DVDs what network card to use?

Thank you for your time and any advice you may give me, and have a good day!latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=eDOtHjhEZdQ:m-KujJwEvX0:F7zBnMy latest?i=eDOtHjhEZdQ:m-KujJwEvX0:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=eDOtHjhEZdQ:m-KujJwEvX0:gIN9vFweDOtHjhEZdQ
