Openwrt and lte minipci modem (hp lt2523)

Hello all, i've bought an used hp lt2523 modem for my hp laptop but since is black listed in the bios (chineese market european laptop good bless hp!) i wanted to repurpose to my openwrt router.
I've tryed to install but i'm struggling to make it working.
The modem is a Novatel E371 but the usb id have been changed by HP from 1410:9011 to 03f0:421d.
I've installed all the packages but it is found only as a cdc_ether device and is not even working.

i guess should be possible to use the same standard novatel driver instead using the hp id...
