Request for the future iso
by Kiezel from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4Y4SZ)
Hereby a request to the developers for the upcoming Bodhi (6.0 or 5.1): would you perhaps want to consider removing web browser Midori from the iso and replacing it by Epiphany?
The problem with Midori is, that it's not in the official Ubuntu repo's anymore, which makes it difficult to keep it properly maintained. Epiphany (epiphany-browser) on the other hand, is still present in the Universe repo and appears to be updated from time to time by the MOTU's.
I understand the need for a very lightweight default web browser in Bodhi, but as a properly maintained web browser is crucially important for security, Epiphany (epiphany-browser) looks like a better alternative for putting into the iso....
Of course most Bodhi users probably install full-fledged web browsers like Firefox, Chromium or Chrome anyway, but what's in the iso by default, matters as well.
Please let me know what you think.
