Raheem Mostert was carrying the 49ers' running game prior to Coleman's injury. He finished the game with four touchdowns and 220 yards.

Coleman was third on the team in rushing yards (544) during the regular season, behind Mostert (772) and Matt Breida (623). The former Atlanta Falcons veteran also found the end zone seven times.
