Real n00b question but googling it did not resolve it for me: Regarding Portainer

I am absolutely new to Linux on Ubuntu Server 18.04. I Have installed portainer folowing a guide.... At the end I think I have been able to install it correctly. On trying to start portainer it is starting.
I have not installed a desktop environment. As per the guide then it tells me to log into my own IP with the port to configure Portainer. From where can I enter this ip; I tried installing chromium browser but the error returned is GTK warning cannot be displayed.
If anybod could help
