New member from Stockholm, Sweden

Hi folks!
I'm kind a new user to the Linux/Unix world because of me getting really tired of MS systems. I have tried a bunch of times before to migrate/escape/flee ;-) to Linux but so far I've had problems mostly with graphic cards, until now. (Yeah, I have Nividia still, but it works great now) I'm GUI kind of guy and I know the terminal is very powerful and I have a lot of commands to learn so things don't go FUBAR, which does happen from time to time. Latest was a couple of days ago actually :-/ and that made me reinstall the whole shebang because I didn't understand what happened and I could not get out of it.
Anyway, point is, I'm a noob now hoping to better my knowledge on how to use this awesome OS.
A big thanks to ya all nerds ;-) (no offence) who spend thousands of hours making this possible for people. I recognize the value of the software you make available to us, thank you thank you thank you!!!

If you're still reading and find this interesting I can blabber on that I'm dutch (please don't speak dutch to me, I know it but don't like it) living in Sweden, the capitol of idiocrazy, the most dangerous place to be these days they say, and I'm not kidding. I live near Stockholm and we have fires, rapes, bombings, destruction and what have you... You don't have some commands I could whipe them off the map do you or something that could at least erase the polititians?! That would be very helpful :-o! Oops, did I say that out loud?!!
Anyway, since ten years now, I've been investigating/searching for answers on why our world seems to go south all the time and that has consequently returned me to my original birth state, an anarchist! We all are anarchists but not everyone knows it. So there you have it :-D that's me!
Lets stay with that for now. If you have questions just send it and you'll have your answer as fast as I possibly can give it to you ;-)
