Mouseover text is garbled
by villandra from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4YH5E)
For the past several weeks I've been finding that when I mouseover in any window, the text is garbled.
I have been running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS since last summer. I had no problem until now.
I am using three monitors with both my onboard video (Intel, driver i916) and Radeon video card, driver Radeon. Same thing happens on all three screens. It's not the video nor the drivers.
I have 32 Gb of RAM. It's not the resources.
Someone just within the last week posted the same issue on an Ubuntu forum and got told it's on account of an old video card. I don't think so.
I am wondering if a system update caused it.
I have Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, Gnome 3.28.2 5.3.0-26-generic.
I don't know how to check for if system or driver updates have occurred recently, nor how to roll them back if they did.
