For most of Remote Play's existence, Android users had it rough when it came to wanting to enjoy any PlayStation 4 games on the go. Thankfully, Sony fixed that late last year, as the 7.00 update for the Remote Play app finally allowed Android users with devices running Android 5.0 or above to use the app. That means that players with any Android phone or tablet running the required operating system can now play their PlayStation 4 titles from the comfort of wherever they'd like. a

While we'd recommend going with officially supported products for PS4 Remote Play, not everyone may have that option available to them. Thankfully, there may be an out for those wanting to use the feature on non-Xperia Android smartphones.
