The KC Pet Project's usual adoption fee is around $150. Nnadi will cover the cost regardless of how long it takes for the dogs to find new homes.
A spokesperson for the organization told ESPN that 20 dogs had been adopted through the program as of early Monday afternoon.
The defensive tackle paid the adoption fee for one dog every time the Chiefs won a game during the season.
