Longtime safety Eric Weddle is stepping away from football.

The five-time All-Pro announced his retirement on Thursday after 13 seasons in the NFL.

Weddle, 35, was a second-round selection of the San Diego Chargers in 2007 and spent nine years with the AFC West team.

He then played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2016 to 2018 before signing a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams last season.

The six-time Pro Bowler, who led the NFL in interceptions in 2011, amassed 1,179 combined tackles, 29 interceptions, and 98 passes defended in 201 career games.
