fvwm 2 can't access desktop menu

I thought I'd use fvwm 2 as I like the look and feel of it but upon accessing the desktop, it seems I can't access my programs or applications through the GUI.

Left clicking on the desktop brings up a small Builtin Menu where it lists 7 options:

Quote:
1. XTerm
2. Setup Form
3. Setup 95 Script
4. Issue Few Commands
D. Desktop Menu
R. Restart fvwm
X. Exit fvwm
All of the other options work but whenever my mouse cursor moves over the desktop menu option, the arrow turns into a small black circle and flickers. Clicking the Desktop Menu option does nothing. Pressing the D key doesn't work either.

I can use the terminal to access certain programs just fine but I'd still like to have the option to use the GUI.

Apologies if I'm misunderstanding what the Desktop Menu option is supposed to do.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=ke67ASKhjdk:clbnDXUtnNY:F7zBnMy latest?i=ke67ASKhjdk:clbnDXUtnNY:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=ke67ASKhjdk:clbnDXUtnNY:gIN9vFwke67ASKhjdk
