Report: Broncos, Rams cutting attendance at scouting combine
The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams will be shorthanded at the 2020 NFL scouting combine.
The Broncos will not send their assistant coaches to the event because they believe they will make better use of their time by watching film in Denver, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Denver's assistant coaches will have access to the combine private interviews led by head coach Vic Fangio and his personal staff.
Meanwhile, the Rams are not sending offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell and defensive coordinator Brandon Staley to the event because the team prefers to have them in Los Angeles to work on the team's new offensive and defensive schemes, Schefter adds.
O'Connell and Staley, who were both hired this offseason, will be joined by Sean McVay in their system preparation after the bench boss fulfills his obligation to attend the opening days of the combine.
The rest of the Rams' coaching staff will attend.
The NFL combine will take place from Feb. 23 to March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
