LFS 9.0 x64 SysVInit - Grub Will Not Start

Hi All,
I just tried to boot my LFS 9.0 x64 PC and I am getting:
Code:grub_files_filter not foundand then the 'grub rescue' appears. The grub program frame with the kernel choices does not appear.
I have read up on this error including all the various grub rescue commands:
Code:ls
ls (hd0,msdos1)/
ls (hd0,msdos1)/boot
ls (hd0,msdos1)/boot/grub
insmod ext4and I have tried all the above commands and more.
I also just finished re-compiling/installing grub and re-run:
Code:grub-installAny ideas on what could be causing this error and how to fix it?
