Smith: Chabot's lower-body injury 'nothing major'
Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot didn't return to Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens after suffering a lower-body injury, the team announced.
Senators head coach D.J. Smith provided a positive update postgame.
"We think Chabby's alright," he told TSN's Ian Mendes. "It's nothing major."
Brendan Gallagher delivered the hit to Chabot, which caused Senators forward Brady Tkachuk to fight the Canadiens winger.
