HDD Backup Software for Linux Mint (Cinnamon) 19.3
by FenderGuy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4ZRH9)
Okay. I just installed Linux Mint 19.3 (Cinnamon) on our older Samsung Series 3 Notebook NP300E5A laptop (500GB HDD, Intel(R) Core i3-2350M 2.4 GHz 64-bit, 4 GB DDR3 Memory, Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000). All seems to be working fine.
Now, I want to do a full backup of our Samsung laptop's 500GB HDD.
Using a Redo Backup CD in the laptop, I formatted a Toshiba 500GB USB external HDD, in EXT format, and started the backup. Immediately, I started getting parsing errors reading the backup drive!
Heretofore, I've had no issues with our Toshiba backup drive. Am I doing something wrong? Should I try other backup software?
Thanks for any insights, guys.
