Connect to VPN from Linux

I am a foreign student at the University of San Diego. In vacations, I visit my hometown but sometimes I need to connect to UCSD networks to access the library resources from Linux.

I am being told that I need a University of San Diego VPN to remotely connect to my university networks. I have my account credentials but I don't know how to configure it on my Linux OS?
