Slackware-current (15-ish) and amdgpu and comparison to Nvidia
by kingbeowulf from LinuxQuestions.org on (#502J3)
This wasn't an exhaustive test, and by the time I compiled the data, current is on kernel 5.4.23. As a result of the amdgpu performance I've observed, I've sold my EVGA Nvidia GTX 1060. The Nvidia GTX 1080 used in the benchmarks was borrowed. You can view the results here:

IMHO, amdgpu and Slackware-current are now perfectly viable tools to feed my computer game addiction with my new XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC Ultra with a full open source driver stack. Thus, Nvidia can go pound sand. Next step is to either look at ROCm or amdgpu-pro for the OpenCL libraries for GPU compute capability.
