Good day,
I'm a Linux newbie - coming from windows 7 and using Mint 19.3 Cinnamon.

So far I'm really enjoying the Linux experience, but I've suddenly developed a problem when trying to install a program with Gdebi.

I get the following message:-

An unhandlable error occured

There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks.

And when I press for "details" I get..

org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

I've tried a few suggestions such as uninstalling and reinstalling Gdebi but still have the same problem.

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall aptdaemon and if so, what command line should I use?

Am I showing my ignorance with this question?

Any suggestions ?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=u-aIv8ZLwwA:-f_IV6xUxII:F7zBnMy latest?i=u-aIv8ZLwwA:-f_IV6xUxII:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=u-aIv8ZLwwA:-f_IV6xUxII:gIN9vFwu-aIv8ZLwwA
