Report: Bills, Norman agree to 1-year deal
Free-agent cornerback Josh Norman and the Buffalo Bills have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth $6 million that could rise to $8 million with incentives, sources told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Norman will reunite with Bills head coach Sean McDermott, who was the veteran's defensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers. Additionally, Bills general manager Brandon Beane was part of Carolina's front office when Norman was taken in the fifth round of the 2012 draft.
The 32-year-old Norman spent the last four campaigns with the Washington Redskins after becoming the league's highest-paid cornerback during free agency in 2016.
This offseason, the Redskins released Norman with one year and $12.5 million remaining on his contract. Norman ranked 191st out of 199 cornerbacks in 2019, according to PFF, and he was benched near the end of the campaign.
In Buffalo, Norman will pair with Tre'Davious White, who was named a first-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler last season while tying for the league lead in interceptions.
