Removing Amazon AWS from firefox. [Solved]

I have a fresh installation of Linux Mint 19.3 with Cinnamon desktop.
Browser is Firefox 73.0.1 64 bit.
Browser plugins are Ublock origin and Privacy Badger.
Network connection is ethernet DSL (about 10Mbps).
Whenever I open Firefox with startpage https://duckduckgo.com/
I see some unwanted amazon web service making connections to my desktop:

These are mostly amazon aws service, and disappear as soon as firefox is closed. Googling this topic shows its quite common but so far I've not managed to stop aws running.
I've tried same test on debian with firefox and still get established connections to aws. I have no aws account, so any advice welcome.
