Installing xfce4 4.14 with slackpkg+: howto and to-be-or-not-to-be
by keeneadt from LinuxQuestions.org on (#50Q3G)
Hello everybody.
I'd like to have a taste of new xfce4 4.14. I found ready to install packages in rlworkman repository, but i didn't find any readme about how to produce a full 4.14 installation with slackpkg+ tool. I mean something like slackpkg install multilib with alienbob multilib repo. Is there any way or i have to sync the repo and install all packages with installpkg *t?z?
The second question is how to deal with situation when i have xfce4 4.14 packages installed from rlworkman repo and i get an upgrade of xfce4 from official repo? Could there be any troubles? Should i do something to prevent mixing of packages like setting priorities in slackpkgplus.conf?
