LVM : How many volumes should be reasonable?
by dezix from LinuxQuestions.org on (#50TR5)
Hi,
I want to run a small (20Go) SSD VPS with LVM.
As it's my first try with LVM and web hosting too,
I don't have feedback/experience about what will be space needs and where space will be used.
For that reason, I plane to setup LVM with as many LV as :
Code:/
/boot
/home
/root
/srv
/srv/http
/srv/ftp
/srv/mail
/usr
/var
/var/cache
/var/log
/tmp... 13 LV
Does it makes sense for you too?
or maybe I'm just stupid?
If not so stupid, before to go this way,
I'm asking how much space will be used just to create such a set of bare LV?
I will run Debian10 & LVM2
Thanks for advises
