Mint 19.2 will boot from CD but not from Hard Drive of Acer Aspire 4830T

I thought that I had successfully installed Mint 19.2 onto the Hard Drive of Acer Aspire 4830T [having initially booted it from the CD/DVD drive and performing a clean instal]. However it would not boot.
So today I have once more performed a clean instal from the CD/DVD drive and received all the expected you have been successful/welcome screens etc.
Now when I try and boot I get a box headed GNU Grub version 2.02 and a list of 3 options the top of which is Cinnamon.
That then leads to a screen with
"Busybox v1.27.2 (Ubuntu 1:1.27.2-2ubuntu3.2) built-in dshell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a lst of built-in commands
(initramfs)"
I cannot understand why the system will not boot from the hard drive yet when I reinstalled it today it showed that the installation was a success?
