Free-agent cornerback Chris Harris Jr. will sign with the Los Angeles Chargers after a nine-year stint with the Denver Broncos, he told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Harris landed a two-year deal worth $20 million, a source told James Palmer of NFL Network.

The four-time Pro Bowler received interest from the New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, and Las Vegas Raiders before picking the Chargers, sources told Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News.

Harris was considered unlikely to return to Denver once the team agreed to acquire fellow cornerback A.J. Bouye from the Jacksonville Jaguars at the beginning of March. The 30-year-old Harris previously revealed that he rejected a three-year, $36-million extension from the Broncos before the 2019 trade deadline.

Broncos Country......THANK YOU! It's been an amazing 9 years. I want to thank the entire Denver Broncos organization for believing in a young, undrafted kid from Oklahoma. Thank you to my teammates, coaches and trainers for helping to make me the Super Bowl Champion, 4X Pro Bowler I am today. Thank you to the beautiful city of Denver for being home to my family and baby girls. BIG thank you to all the broncos fans!! From Super Bowls to super lows, you always showed up and showed loved. It's hard to be leaving a city where we have created so many incredible memories but I am excited for a new beginning. -- Strap Harris a3/4

During his tenure in Denver, Harris was one of the most versatile cornerbacks in the league, serving formidably on the perimeter and in the slot. He's recorded 20 career interceptions along with four defensive touchdowns.

The Chargers have worked to retool their roster following a 5-11 campaign in 2019, acquiring defensive tackle Linval Joseph, right tackle Bryan Bulaga, and right guard Trai Turner this offseason.
