Hello there... New to Linux

Hello everyone,
Have had experience with Unix in the past... late 90's, and have forgotten a lot of what I once new. Not having a unix system to practice on didn't help.
Been using Windows since it's inception. Using Windows 7 now, but since losing support it created lots of problems so I figured, what the hey, Ubuntu sure looks good!
