Hi guys, I've had this Creative Webcam Live! working in wxCam for a long time in 32-bit Slackware 14.2 and my own rolled 4.19 kernels. This past fall I finally moved to 64-bit 14.2 and using only the official kernels, so my current kernel is 4.4.208. dmesg shows the camera detected as gspca_zc3xx and assigned to /dev/video0. lsmod shows the gspca modules loaded. /dev/video0 has 660 permissions and is owned by root:video, and my user belongs to the video group.

I rarely use the cam but I just installed skypeforlinux yesterday and noticed the picture is just black. I launched wxCam and same thing. Tried different frame formats and color/brightness adjustments. In the wxCam window I do see the FPS counter moving. I also launched VLC to test it there - same thing. I even tried running wxCam and skype from su in a terminal.

I've been Googling a lot last night and today and the only solution I find that works for most other users is LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so (or lib32 depending on their distro). When I try that I get the error that it is a wrong ELF class. I do have multilib installed including v4l-utils and all the gst-plugins.

What else can I try, or am I possibly missing something in the multilib setup?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=Alzoh5L_vs0:9mrjUKcgql0:F7zBnMy latest?i=Alzoh5L_vs0:9mrjUKcgql0:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=Alzoh5L_vs0:9mrjUKcgql0:gIN9vFwAlzoh5L_vs0
