How to create virtual net adapter for VPN pruposes?

I have a contracted server directly connected to the Internet, that is, its only network interface has a public IP.
On the other hand I want to mount a VPN to layer 2, to be able to play certain old games with my friends, which require broadcasting.
For this, it occurred to me to mount an OpenVPN server in bridge mode.
But of course, for this I require a lan on my VPN server to which the different clients can connect. My question is: what is the correct way to do all that?
