Cant get WIFI card to work complete noob

Hi all, i am completely new to Linux and have install Ubuntu i have a third party wifi card asus pce-ac68 802.11ac, Ubuntu doesn't find it, I cant hard wire the pc it is so far away from the router so i am using a USB stick and zip files i found on the internet , I have tried several things but no luck, Please see picture of my latest attempt.

I want to install Linux so i can install Retropie for retro gaming.Please see image in the link below and thank you all again for your help.
