Why can't I change my screen resolution when live booting trisquel from a usb?

Hi, I tried trisquel (a distro endorsed by the fsf) by booting it from a live usb, however the screen resolution was wrong and I couldn't change it. I was wondering if this is because I haven't properly installed trisquel yet, or because the Linux Libre kernel doesn't support my hardware - I have an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060, or whether it's because of the following error messages i received when booting:
