nvdia driver will not see second card.

have driver from graphics team ppa, and no matter what i do, the driver wil not see the card i added to my system. its the exact same card as the first. i tried this command in my terminal.

sudo nvidia-xconfig -multigpu=on -sli=afr

it ddi nothing. the driver still sees only one p106. i want to sli it, like a gtx 1060's sli hack in endgame, but for now i just need the driver to see second card. any command suggestions would be appreciated thanks.
