Best Linux flavor to install on Lenovo S10-3 notebook
by richardsteinitz from LinuxQuestions.org on (#51P10)
Hi All,
I'm new to this forum, played around with Ubuntu many years ago but never got anywhere with it.
I now want to install some flavor of Linux on an OLD Lenovo S10-3 notebook. All I want to do with it is use a word processor like Open Office or similar, that will save documents in .DOC or .DOCX format. That's it! If it will connect to the Internet without a lot of bother, that would be a bonus.
I tried to install LUBUNTU 18.04, it succeeded but the word processor is ABIWORK or something like that, and it won't save documents as .doc or .docx - only saves in its Abiwork format.
If there is a better option in choosing a different flavor, or if there is an EASY way to make the ABIWORK save as .doc, please let me know.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
