is placing UDP traffic in priority a bulletproof strategy for lag-free gaming/VoIP?

It seems that games and VoIP use UDP traffic for the gaming/voice/video (and they use TCP traffic for auth or chat). So I intent to set *all* UDP traffic in priority on my firewall so as not to have web/BitTorrent/FTP/etc traffic cause lag to gaming and VoIP.

Does it sound reasonable?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=iHtKDcl60EI:uGk5aFFpBIk:F7zBnMy latest?i=iHtKDcl60EI:uGk5aFFpBIk:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=iHtKDcl60EI:uGk5aFFpBIk:gIN9vFwiHtKDcl60EI
