[SOLVED] How to reactivate mouse pad key

This is a fairly simple question. I inadvertently turned off the mouse pad key on my Lenovo Laptop. I am using Debian 10. The mouse pad is now dead. Can someone please tell me how to switch it back on? Thank you much!
