Rufus 3.9 doesn't work for me like 3.8 did, but it does work for others

I've been distro hopping for 2 months in my laptop dual booting my USB with Rufus 3.8
A week ago, a friend asked me how to install Ubuntu so I told him to download Rufus lastest version (3.9), and it worked perfectly for him.
So I decided to update my Rufus to the newest version, and when I try to boot any Linux again, grub isn't recognized and I find myself in the minimal bash.
I didn't able to find the issue, and I tried to boot again with 3.8, it worked.
Why is Rufus 3.9 not working for me?
Is it the software or the laptop?
