Automize a Work Flow Enviroment
by JoeDoe from LinuxQuestions.org on (#52G44)
Hello, I would like to get some ideas of good ways of atomizing my "work flow environment" on Linux.
Normally these are the steps I perform to arrange my "work flow environment":
1)Close all running programs.
2)Open file browser and search for the video I'm currently working on and open it on my second Screen.
3)Open web browser for translate aid.
4)Open terminal and with wordgrinder open document I'm currently working on which is the translation of the video.
So my Working Mode is witching between these 3 programs. 2 on my laptop screen and 1 on my secondary screen.
I envision an "app" which by clicking does all the above for me, after previously configuring the "current video and
document" I require. This would be ideal, but I'm not aware of any such software. Would be great to have the
ability to arrange different "modes" like, gaming mode, work mode, research mode...etc all configurable.
All ideas are welcome and appreciated, thank you.
