How to use Wine (for Irfanview) ?
by raakhbaba from LinuxQuestions.org on (#52GSX)
Hi everybody,
I replaced Ubuntu with Linux Mint Tricia. I wanted to make a try deciding which partition I will choose. Now I have:
Partition: ID-1: / size: 31.83 GiB used: 5.04 GiB (15.8%) fs: ext4 dev: /dev/sda1
ID-2: /home size: 245.48 GiB used: 68.3 MiB (0.0%) fs: ext4 dev: /dev/sda3
ID-3: /opt size: 1.07 GiB used: 2.8 MiB (0.3%) fs: ext4 dev: /dev/sda7
ID-4: /tmp size: 2.69 GiB used: 8.6 MiB (0.3%) fs: ext4 dev: /dev/sda8
ID-5: /var size: 5.44 GiB used: 764.0 MiB (13.7%) fs: ext4 dev: /dev/sda6
ID-6: swap-1 size: 5.59 GiB used: 0 KiB (0.0%) fs: swap dev: /dev/dm-0
After I decided to install wine-stable. In /opt/wine-stable there is four directories /bin (I guess the executable is there) /lib /lib64 and /share.
I have two questions:
1. Do I need to copy mfc42.dll for the installation of Irfanview and where?
2. How I can install Irfanview?
Before I had a wine icon on my desk and was able to click on it and install a software easily (Baraha was the of this software).
Now I am lost.
Please, can you help me? Thanks a lot.
