After Weeks of Sanity in KTown, Balloo Suddenly Needs a Straitjacket

I'm posting this because I had been really pleased with March 2020 KTown which showed very nice low footprint even with default Baloo settings running for weeks. Quite suddenly it has gone rabid. Out of the blue I will get several instances of baloo indexer and file extractor at ~80% CPU cumulative. Running "balooctl disable" did not stop those processes and CPU hogging until I rebooted evenb though "balooctl status" said it was disabled.

I seriously doubt if this is "normal" behavior. From web searches I can tell this bugginess is endemic and not at all to do with the KTown subset, but Plasma5 in general. I have a lot of hard drive real estate so I'd prefer the quick searches a service like baloo can generate but this is crazy so I've had to disable it until I hear it has been fixed or just give up ever hoping to use it if this is considered "normal".latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=TcIwAiOSt4o:DabiZqo20jw:F7zBnMy latest?i=TcIwAiOSt4o:DabiZqo20jw:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=TcIwAiOSt4o:DabiZqo20jw:gIN9vFwTcIwAiOSt4o
