How should i go about this? (splitting up audio files)

Hi. I have several audiobooks which are in files exceeding eleven hours. I would like to split them up into several hour long files. I can do this in audacity by cutting sound chunks away, making new projects and pasting the chunks in there and exporting them. This approach will be quite time consuming though, is there a better way to accomplish what i want?
