Mint update kills networking

I have Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia.
I updated yesterday.
When I booted today I have no networking.
No wired.
No wireless.
Nothing appears in /var/log/syslog when I plug in the cable or enable wireless.
All I see is the pop-up message in the upper right corner of the screen indicating connection failed.
Short of restoring from backup, how would I deal with this?
