Two Hamilton men have been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a 17-year-old in Brampton on New Year's Eve.

The new charges mean there are now three Hamilton men charged in the boy's death. One other Hamilton man was previous charged with first-degree murder in the case earlier this year, along with a Kitchener woman charged with accessory after the fact.

Jordan Henry was killed in a shooting on Alderbury Crescent in Brampton shortly before midnight Dec. 31, 2019.

On Wednesday, Mohammed Shokri, 18, and Abdikadir Abdi, 20, both from Hamilton, were arrested. Both were expected to appear in court on a first-degree murder charge in Brampton Thursday.

Photos posted on social media by freelance photojournalist Andrew Collins showed at least one of the men being arrested by tactical officers in the area of Sanford Avenue North and Cannon Street East in Hamilton around 7 p.m. May 6.

In January, Zakaria Hassan, 22, from Hamilton, was charged with first degree murder. Rukhshar Wahab, a 20-year-old woman from Kitchener, was charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Peel police said there are no more outstanding suspects in the case.
